tim lively contact info..........

Ryan, I sent Tim an email to notify him of your request, sent the link to this thread. I'm pretty sure the address I have is current. So, you may hear from him soon. I don't know if he's currently taking orders or not, or whether he has anything available at this time.

thanks a bunch tai....i know he's not taking orders....i'm wondering about dating a piece of his and learning more about it.....thanks for the help....ryan

O.K. Ryan.

For those who are not familiar with Tim's work, here's an example from about 8 years back.

He used to use a lot of 5160, with a soft back draw, forging very closely to shape. He was also one of the premier founding members of the neo-tribal metalsmithing movement.

This example shows an nice forged fuller, which you don't see much of.

His old stuff had a very warm and earthy look and feel to it.

He did a lot of work completely without power tools or gas, "unplugged"... This is a good example of the "Unplugged days". :)

... I should add that before he went "N-T Unplugged", he did a lot of stock reduction knives.

If it doesn't show a "hammer finish", it's probably something either older or newer.
