I got Tim Lively's knife making video today. :) It is awesome. Great buy and really informative.

It was pretty good. Tess was laughing at me. She said only a knifemaker could watch two hours of...Tap, tap, tap...turn the blower crank...Tap, tap, tap...turn the blower crank...Tap, tap, tap...turn the blower crank... :D

Yes, Tim's video is great.

Other great videos are: "Knifemaking" by William White, "Forging Damascus" by Jim Hrisoulas, "To Create A Blade" by Frank Garland, and "The Wire Damascus Hunting Knife" by Wayne Goddard.

Goddard has his on DVD format now. I wish others would get theirs on DVD too.

She's right, of course. It's a sick truth.

Ditto on that. I don't do VHS, so I only buy DVDs. The Moran videos are on DVD these days too, and Geno's offerings from Center Cross are excellent. Other than that, there don't seem to be too many? Charlie Ochs' DVD is very professionally done, can't fault it (but it means I'd like a power hammer, unfortunately!)
