Anyone out there using a timascus pocket clip on there EDC? I'm wondering what it will look like with time. I basically work a maintenance job this time of the year and am afraid it won't hold up. Photos/any info would be great.

If it’s black timascus, then the black part will probably be fine, though the rest will fade.
If it’s white timascus then it will also fade over time.
With that said, you can take it off and pretty easily refinish it, all you gotta do to get the color back is heat it with a torch until it’s the color you want.
Hope that helps.

Hmmm, timascus is a tough material to photograph. Looking through the camera lense, the appearance changes a lot depending on your angle. This clip hasn't seen a whole lot of wear, just enough to get some scratches. I also don't know if it's faded at all since it was originally sold because I'm not the original owner. However, I figured you'd probably still like to see it since you're interested in timascus clips. This one here's white timascus. I actually prefer black timascus as I think the colors contrast better with it and I like the little bit darker colors. They can look pretty similar though, just depends what pattern it is and what part of the bar it's cut from.
