Just wondering if anyone knows whether this is a full tang knife or not? I'm just wondering what kind of quality this knife is. I'm not expecting much considering it's only 20 bucks but I'm just curious.

Seems like you answered your question.

I have one
It is full tang. It says "TR65 Surgical Steel" on the blade, Don't know if that's any good or not. it is reasonably sharp out of the box.
The sheath is crap
Mine is just a shelf queen

Some of that mystery steel can be pretty tough though.. I have two full tang cheap "440" tantos and I have completely thrashed them without any problem and they can get sharp enough to shave hair.

"hair"...sure. "hairs"...probably not! :D Look at "440" the wrong way and it dulls.

But like I said...best 20 buck mystery steel fantasy Bowie made today. You can't get better.

Oh, they do indeed dull quick .

I assume you are talking about this one. I got one where the handle loosened aftersimple testing, so the seller provided me with a new one for the shipping cost. So I desided to take it apart and check it out. I have tested the blade a bit, and it seems pretty ok to hold the sharpness.

I thought I wanted to collect bowie-type knives and bought a bunch of TR full tang bowies on sale from BK. I got a hidden tang that had a loose handle too and sent it back for a credit. After a while, I got the urge to install scales on knife blanks so guess what I practiced on? Popped off the cheap dymondwood scales and put on some real wood, sharpened them up and bead blasted the blades for a more even finish. Some of them don't look too bad . . . . (I know, not true without pix - I'll find one somewhere and put it up).

This is a timber rattler green bowie. I reshaped the buttcap and handle and wrapped the handle with leather so it will look like the crocodile dundee bowie.
The sheat I have made to.
It´s of amazing quality for the money, and except for the tang construction it is way better than the Outback bowie I had a while ago before I sold it. This you can accualy ue as a knife, both for carving and chopping, and it chopps much better than the outback, and I have made small spoones with it. And it´s keeps the edge great and is very easy to resharpen with a stone. I would be very interested to know what kind of steel it is and the rockwell hardness.
