Does anyone have one of these to comment upon? Look good and since it is a Lightfoot design, it looks a LOT like the "Catch Dog" folder Greg builds. Some of the specs indicate it is a honker of a knife with a 440C blade that is 4.0" X .190" thick. The write up also said these have thick titanium liners that really secure the lockup. Of course that is ad copy so it should say that!:) But I really like the shape of this knife and the fact it is a heavy duty one. I've seen them for sale at knifecenter and the price is under $100.00.

From what I can google, and this is from Combat Handguns, this knife has a "heavy titanium linerlock". With a blade thickness of .190" I guess the liners would need to be fairly thick. Most online prices are around $85 to $95. One thing I have not been able to find is a picture of the backside to see the clip. For some reason I want to think it is a foldover clip and if so I think this would be a knife worth looking at! Anyone have one they can do pics of? Backside and pics of lock engaged would be just dandy! I'll probably go ahead and pull the trigger on this one at the asking price.

here is a pic of both sides... http://www.knivesplus.com/index.html has them for $89.99

Hi Cutter 17 I just happened upon one and bought it before i knew what i was doing; ( i'm kinda like that), anyhow the knife is solid, feels like your hefting a custom made, it opens silently but mine takes two hands to close. looks like two bronze washers inside. two drops of 3 in 1 oil relieved it of hibernation sickness and now opens smoothly.
Absintheur posted the soft armour piercing tanto but i picked up the drop point. mine is 50/50 . there is no play whatsoever when it is in the open position and likewise when it is closed....Very solid, dont let the China stamp fool ya, thi is one mean user....hope this helps.

I had one, and it was a QC mess:stripped screws, warped handles with assembly screws that were screwed in crooked (cross threaded into the frame), uneven grind lines.

Mine may have been an anomaly, but it was a mess.

Geez Dano howd that ever make it outta the factory? someone definatly not doing their thing... mine tight as a frogs butt and good finish...

Because the factory is in China.;) FWIW, the ad copy I've seen has them listed as having "440" blades, so I think it's safe to assume there's no "C" in the mix.

Unless they're flat-out lying on their website, the blade steel is indeed 440C for this folder, along with a number of their other models.
