Bought this knife as shown from a friend on the Devil's forum as a project knife.



Since it is almost .200" thick, I decided to try a hidden tang with 3 layers of .187" black/green micarta. I surface ground the blade to thickness and also took all the grinds much higher.











Tomorrow, it will go to bead blast.
 
Looks pretty good, Matt, but imo, some faceting to the handles would really make it pop(similar to the original, but not the same)

I might do a flat facet taper on the butt after the last group of pins.
 
I'll probably end up selling this one. Bought it as a "for fun" project.
