Welcome to Bladeforums, MSW! :)

This might be the wrong sub-forum for your question, but… does your knife have a tanto point and a diamond-shaped opening hole in the blade?

Ahh… it may be the “Special Service” folder. That was sort of a joint venture with Spyderco. (Timberline and Spyderco were both Colorado based companies.) IIRC, Spyderco helped with the design (notice the clip in particular) and hooked them up with a subcontractor. I believe that Spyderco also had a patent for the diamond-shaped opening hole at one time.

KnifeCenter still has some of those knives in stock: http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=TM94041

Heh… I can’t answer that, but it looks like a pretty cool knife. If you can’t trade it, you shouldn’t be disappointed to have it in your collection! :)
