Timberline Vallotton Kickstart (carbon fiber/titanium)?

I received an e-mail today from one of the big on-line knife dealers and one of the items it featured was the "Timberline Vallotton Kickstart Folding Knife Assisted 3.5" Blade, Carbon Fiber and Titanium Handles" (model# 1243). Listed as having Aus-8 steel and being made in China. I know nothing about Timberline knives (other than finding out they seem to be related to Gatco Sharpeners). The price of this knife, considering that it has carbon fiber and titanium handles, seems very low to my relatively inexperienced self. I seem to find no info on this specific knife model, I don't know if it a new model, and old model or what. Even searching for Timberline knifes in general here seems to come up with mostly quite old results. Does anybody know anything about this knife? Thanks!

I picked one up out of curiosity and just received it in the mail today. My first impressions are it's very light and the blade rockets open, once it thaws out I can start using it to see how the steel holds up. For the money it seems like a good deal, it comes in a very nice case as well.

I appreciate the input. It appears nobody is very familiar with this version of this knife...

My review of this knife should be up soon at KnifeCenter.com. It's a great knife for the price. Weighs in at 2.4 oz on my postal scale. The Kickstart may need some lubrication of a good knife lube but it fires great out of the box. A bit of overkill on the packaging. Deep pocket clip. Easy one handed closing. Frame lock is solid. I really love the carbon and titanium handles. I would describe this as a light to medium duty EDC. It could save your life in a self defense situation but I would rather my CRKT Hissatsu or No Ken for that. I'll be carrying this as my EDC for a while--light, low profile, fast smooth deployment and deep pocket make it a 5 star for me.
