I just ordered a Timberline Kelly Worden tactical folding knife. I figured for $50.00 bucks it looks cool. Has any of my fellow forum friends had any experiance with this knife, and if so what was your impressions???? Thanks

I've got one in part serrated. First off, it may not look like it, but it's a great work knife! The plain edge portion makes for a good slicing tool while the serrated part powers through tough materials. Overal fit and finish is very nice. Lockup is right on, survives the spine whack. Ergonomic handle fits your hand like a glove. Like the CRKT Kasper KFF, the Worden folders offer amazing bang for the buck. I can guarantee that those who like the KFF will like this one!

Dexter is spot on with his response.
This is a knife that is well worth the price. The lock up is TIGHT and the blade is extremely easy to deploy.
It has an extremely sharp AUS8A blade that exhibits great edge geometry. I cut myself while doing some pruning with it a couple of weeks ago and didn't know I'd sliced my fool self till I saw blood.

Also, it is quite a large folder, larger in the handle than most other knives of similar blade size.
Blade is 4" BTW.
The handle on my sample is 5 5/8" long. A real handful.
This knife offers real competition to CRKT in the best-bang-for-the-buck category.

I just got my knife. Very pleased. The knife has a great feal while in your hand. It came out of the box razor sharp. The handles are very "stout" giving the feeling that the knife is very strong. Lock up is great. The only two things that I would like to change is the liner lock, not because it is not well made...it is. I just don't perfer liner locks. Second, I wish the clip was on the other side I perfer "tip up" carry.
Overall, I am very impressed with the quality especially for a $50.00 knife.

I've had one for nearly 2 months. Haven't used it very much, though.

Fit and finish was excellent on my copy, excepting the lock doesn't set properly unless you open it with some vigor. If you open it slowly, it will just sort of barely slide onto the tang. Of course, if one were in circumstances where it was important to have the lock work, it is only reasonable to expect that one would "crack!" it open. Other than the potential lock problem, it is easily as well-built as any of my CRKTs.

The stopper for me, was ergonomics. And, I'm sure it is just a personal thing. The handle simply doesn't fit me right. On the CRKT KFF, it has always felt to me like they used my hand for designing the handle. It fits like a glove. The Wortac simply doesn't do that for me. Enough so, that I took the REKAT Carnivore off my must have list, since the handles appear so similar, and are both designed by Crawford.

It's too nice a knife to get rid of, but then I can't use it much easier. As of now, it is my "robe knife." The knife I keep in my bathrobe pocket, just in case anything comes up, you understand.

I have smaller one, with 3" blade. It fits my hand nicely in saber grip, in the position I would grip the knife for straight thrusting in the knife fight. But it grips pretty uncomfortably if I try to make some heavy cutting job holding the handle in hammer grip.

Luckily I have to perform heavy cutting much, much more frequently than straight thrusting

As to execution quality, fit and finish - no complaints at all, very decently made knife.

I've got one of the smaller ones and the blade is slightly under 3 inches, making it perfect for LA County/City. I am impressed that Timberline is using 8A in a knife that sells for about the same price as CRKT 6A blades.
