Timberline's "Fibron Winewood" scales

What's up with that stuff they make the WorTac Supreme's scales from?

Does it at least feel and look kinda like "real" wood?

I've only seen pics of the WorTac Supreme yet, never actually fondled one of 'em so far.
 
Alright, last try to get a reply here.

Someone must've handled this knife at least once (I'm not even requesting the opinion of someone who actually owns a WorTac Supreme)...a brief review of that Fibron Winewood stuff would be appreciated.
 
I have one. I don't know exactly what Fibron Winewood really is, but it does look and feel a lot like stabilized wood. The people I've shown it to have all assumed that the scales were real wood.

I think it looks rather nice.

The Fibron Winewood that I have handled is of the genre normally called Pakkawood. Laminated wood in plastic resin, finishes like plastic and feels like plastic...nice colours though.
