Timbertech Knife handles?

I have thought about it but never tried. Good luck, I would like to see them.

I would rather tool around with some scrap composite material than screw up a good black walnut scale while trying to learn. Any idea if you can dye that stuff?

I'd imagine that it should work very well. I'm not sure how easy it would be to work with sandpaper and other tools though. I wonder if it would melt if you used a belt sander on it?

Ooh, yeah, great idea.
Like faux wood paneling on a station wagon. :-D
Seriously, tho, I have a piece of that stuff salvaged from a pile awhile back for messing around. It's dense!. Let us know how it turns out.

I've already been cutting into some of it with a bandsaw. It is pretty dense and heavy. I'll post some pics when I get to work.

Their online store offers a 2 ft section on planking as a sample for (redacted). The docksider plank looks like it has the most material to offer.
