I've done pretty good so far. 4 new knives.

1. TC Barlow- lambsfoot/pen (perfect work knife for me)
2. #73- clip with only a 6 pull (what a fine single blade)
3. #61- half congress, wharncliffe/coping (great light duty/detail work)
4. #54- harness jack, spear/punch awl. (love them spear points)

Everyone of these has exceeded my expectations.
But, then I realized that there are 5 days in the work week.

All of my knives are carried, kept very sharp and used daily.

The 4 1/8" HJ is about as big as want to carry. I might even get an OWB sheath for it.

I want a #5 for Friday (another lame excuse)

I might even get a Northwoods or a Schatt & Morgan.

A couple of nice knives are on the GEC schedule, but I'll save those for a Saturday/Sunday excuse.

Well? Your turn.

Looks like you need a sub 3 1/2" sized knife.
Since you mentioned Northwoods, how about their Bullet Jack? 3" single blade based on the GEC #25 pattern.

You need a stockman.

I've been looking for a nice one.
I had a nice Case medium stockman with a punch instead of a spey.
The wife uses it now for the things she does.

bdev: The Indian River jack is the Northwoods that has been calling my name.

Mink: I looked at the 92 but I was hoping to see one in a barehead w/no liner lock.

I just ordered a queen small stockman in Zebrawood with D2.

I have the GEC 92, it's a eureka jack there is no linerlock, it's a slippy. Great knife, you get a lot of main blade in that frame and the coping secondary is ... well if you have one on the 61, then you know how good they are!

If you are looking for a nice stockman then check out the GEC 66 Calf Roper or the 68 Buckaroo. Both are very nice but I'm partial to the 66 frame.

I'm partial to the Case 6375, but they are big.

31 northwoods!, just remember you'll have to have 7 next, one foe each day of the week, the 10 cause it's an even number, the 12, due to the months in a year...

You need an old Schrade in that rotation,no collection is complete without at least one.;)
