I'm getting close the the 2K mark and really haven't contributed enough here so it's time for a give away to mark my 2000th post (coming up)
The rules:
1) By entering this give away you are affirming you are 18 years old or older.
2) You are responsible for the fact that this give away knife is legal to own in your state, county and city/town.
3) You release me from any liability that results from your participation in this give away as well as injury to you or others and legal problems you may encounter by receiving this knife.
4) Post in this thread that you're in and you'll be entered. Your post number will be your entry number.
5) This give away is for basic members and higher only. Sorry no registered users. This makes private contact easier. I will disregard any registered users and non-North American addresses. To keep it fair by preserving the actual first post number each contestant has, I will draw the winning post using Random.org until a basic member or higher wins. Any winning number for a registered user or non-North American resident will force a redraw. Hopefully the first number I draw will be a qualified winner so a redraw is not necessary.
6) All qualified members may post only one time
7) Entry is open to qualified U.S. and Canadian members only Sorry to other internationals. I'm not familiar with all other international laws and want to play it safe.
8) I will pay for the shipping to the winner. But I reserve the right to ship via the cheapest option using the carrier of the winner's choice between USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground or FedEx Ground.
9) This give away begins immediately after I post and will end at 12:00 Midnight on Saturday morning, January 23, 2010. (This is the midnight hour between Friday and Saturday)
10) I will use random.org to select the winner based on the numeric range between the first entry post and the last entry post. I will contact the winner through PM or email or the winner may contact me. Whichever.
11) I ask that the winner make a post in this thread when they receive the knife.
12) The winner isn't obligated to like or keep the give away knife and it is yours to do with as you wish.
So here she is:
A brand new in box, never carried or sharpened Spyderco Moteng Lum Chinese folder. All smudges are just lube. There is a minor finish flaw on the non-clip side at the lanyard hole but it is insignificant. The action and edge are fantastic. Lockup is rock solid in all directions. Here are the pictures:
