St. James' awesome new toys inspired me to closely inspect my on treasured large Redwood.

To my surprise I noticed that the wood at the butt end had shrunk quite a bit.

I think CRK stabilizes most of the wood inserts but the redwood is left "au natural" and can shrink over time. The knife has been carried quite a bit and sweated on some but never been washed or soaked.

Do you guys think I should send it back to Chris to have a look?

Definately YES! I had a large Classic with leather inlays a couple years ago and when the leather started to peel CRK wanted the knife back to see the cause and rectify it. I checked out my large redwood burl after seeing St. James' and fell in love all over again!  :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

I contacted CRK and Bridget immediately responded indicating that they will replace the wood inserts under warranty.

I wish more companies would run their business like Chris and his troops.
