Hello all you party people!

As you can see, i have made my way up to 1,000 posts and its now time for a little giveaway. Im doing this because I want to give back to the knife community that has embraced me and many others into this crazy hobby. I have learned a lot the past year, and have met a lot of really cool people. (Especially you Order guys).
I have had a lot of different hobbies, but by far.. knife collecting/carrying/using has been the one that will not be giving up... ever.

SO... to show my appreciation, I would like to giveaway my Kershaw Mini Cyclone 1635ST to a lucky member.

HERES HOW THIS WILL WORK Please read :)

I would like this to be limited to Paid Memberships only.. so anyone from a Basic Membership and up. All you people who are just “Registered Members” dont worry, i have another giveaway coming up very soon, so you arent left out in the cold. I want THIS giveaway to be for the people who make Bladeforums possible.

Every member gets 1 post to use as their entry for this giveaway.

I would like to hear some stories about your cool experiences with the forums in your entry.

This giveaway will go until next Saturday 5/25/13. At that time, i will use a random number generator to choose the winner at random.

Good luck to all of you, and keep stay awesome fellow knifebros.

Great giveaway stebby!

I've been very fortunate to meet some people that really like to help other people out and put a smile on their face. They've helped me with knife related things, and even life related things. They've gone out of their way to help me out and I hope that one day I can keep that good knife karma going and help someone else out.

The person in particular that's helped me out the most is sticktodrum (that doesn't mean other people don't help others out, or that he's the best, but he's been the most beneficial in keeping my addiction going). He saw that I was looking for a Damascus Skyline and reached out to me and said he'd hold onto one for me so I could gather some funds. He stayed true to his word and I was able to get one from him without paying really high prices. He's also sharpening a bunch of my knives for me that I can't wait to check out and inspect. We've had our disagreements, but I feel like that's made us stronger as internet-knife-collecting-buddies.

That's just a sliver of some of the awesome experiences that I've had with this forum.

I would have to concur with Mr. Knotty. Anyone I've dealt with has been willing to go above and beyond to lend me a hand when I asked for it. Mario hunting down a BF Skyline for me as well as passing along some other Kershaw's without gouging my wallet...Justin helping me out with my Order logo and keeping his eyes open for limited edition grails...Russ for being on the hunt for purple Leeks and Blur I so desperately want and always encouraging me to buy buy buy, no matter the price...Dave for the most fair prices and fastest shipping I've seen hands down. Other members, I cannot mention you all, who have helped answer a question or two and make me laugh...Sir Fuzzy Nuts! I try my best to pay it forward to you guys, and if I win this I will do my absolute best to get this knife to the Boston Officer who lost his during the marathon bombing. Thank you for the opportunity Mr. Steb.

Thanks for the GAW and  on 1,000 posts.

Good things that have happened on the forums? Ive had plenty of laughs, and have won a few knives here and there. Thats always fun :) Back in the Blur days when Kershaw Blurs were all that mattered I made some good forum friends and a nemesis or two...

Thanks to member here Ive found some knives I may have not gotten otherwise.

But one story? Hmm... Dave offered a knife to anyone who found him at the Puyallup gun show. I like guns and knives, Ill go down to the show. Kind of difficult finding someone you have never seen, but I knew he had a Hinderer shirt on. When I got in the show, I played with an Offset and some Custom ken Onions by the front door then walked around for a few hours. I didnt have the asking price cash for the Offset but decided Id go make an offer. But when I got there some guy wearing a Hinderer shirt was holding it and handing over some money. Damn it Dave! :D He got the Offset, but I did get a LE Skyline as a gift for finding the KershawGuy

Congrats on 1000 steb and thanks for the GAW.

My favorite moment on the Kershaw Sub? The day Thomas and Spark got together and brought it back from the Archives. Having this sub closed was an experience that left me emotionally scarred. :D

But all is well now, and there have been some really great new people hanging out here...along with a few jerks. Glad to say you're one of the new good guys!

P.S. For anyone that hasn't held a Mini Cyclone, get one. You can thank me later.

My coolest experience using this forum was when I was trying to track down a red skyline that just kept slipping through my fingers and then they just disappeared all together. After months of having a wtb line in my sig, a member contacts me from Iraq saying he just saw my sig and happened to have a lightly used one. He was looking for another rare skyline (the red snap on). It just so happened that a week before I had managed to snag two of them so I had an extra. My first trade on these forums wound up being for the knife that was hardest for me to track down, and to someone overseas. It isn't every day that you get the opportunity to obtain something you have long been searching for and create a great contact at the same time.

Thanks for the giveaway. If it wasnt for the people here I wouldnt have found half my Blur collection and learned so much about one of my favorite hobbies .

Haha I'm in :) I absolutely love kershaws and that cyclone is a cool old school one. Thanks for the generous giveaway mate

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! This forum allowed me to sell my entire knife collection in a matter of hours so I could fund the purchase of a few nice ZTs. I'm a starving college student so I would have never had these knives otherwise. Really awesome how it worked out!

Thanks for the give-away, I'm in if you don't mind! I know I don't post in the Kershaw sub-forums much, I'm still trying to expand my Kershaw collection but unfortunately fund haven't permitted any new knives recently. As for good moments on the forums? When I held a giveaway for a modded Skyline, I got a lot of positive feedback on the mod (added a choil) which made me feel really good it! I am going to use what I learned from that mod to do a few more modifications to my knives.

Thanks for the generous giveaway!

Not an entry, but thanks for the giveaway!

(I've already owned a cyclone and sold it, I'll let someone else go for this)

Thanks for the GAW and congrats for the 1K posts!

Finding Dave after getting involved on the forums was a big win for me. I grew up in Oregon and have an had an affinity for Oregon-made knives since I was a kid and I have knives that I acquired 35 years ago. (Gerber was different back in the day) Kershaw has always been a personal favorite, mainly due to ergonomics and how the knives fit me and my uses. Since discovering ZT, it has rekindled my love of collecting and turned me on to modern materials and styling. Dave enables me to do that without breaking the bank.
I'm noticing that Dave has been mentioned a few times by different people. That should be an indicator on his impact. :)

I'm definitely in.
If it weren't for the awesome people on here I would have never been able to acquire my tilt. And the best part is that not only was I able to acquire it, I was able to acquire it for an absolute steal.
And without the awesome people on here I wouldn't know half the knowledge I do now.

EDIT TO ADD: Oh yea, I completely forgot Will (seelow) Will's an awesome dude. He's done some really cool things. He fixed the edge on my CF blur after I effed it up :o
And he gave me his lansky sharpening set, just because. He's one of the many people on here that I want to meet in real life, and thank.

I am still a complete Noob on the forums here, but I knew that once I found this place I would have to join. I am still getting my legs in the knife collecting world also. I started with Gerber's then moved to SOG's, but I found Kershaw/ZT and have never looked back.

What I appreciate about this forum is the help that you get when you ask a question. I hate to go to forums and someone asks a question and all the dbags rush in unison to scream "use the search button". Here I have asked many questions and always someone is willing to answer or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks for the chance. Can't wait for my 0560 CBCF to get here either. Yea, I am already a winner!

Pete

Wonderful giveaway, thanks!

Back, about a few months ago, I loved tacticool knives. I had a bunch of them. It's all I had. That changed when I got an Imperial Kamp King, now I love traditionals. All because of the people here :o
But I still like modern folders :p

I was been primiraily dedicated to picking up Kershaw or ZT's. I do have some spyderco and CRKT, but primary focus is Kershaw leeks from the boutique run. It's been a slow go as not many become available, or I am often times just a little to late. However, Giveaways add to my interests and it would be fun to win one of them since my batting average is Zero. Maybe this will be the one.

Thanks for your contribution.

Ron

Very nice, thanks for doing this!

I actually stumbled across (or rediscovered, I think) Bladeforums because I was searching for a knife that Alton Brown mentioned on Feasting on Asphalt. At the time, he was carrying a Kershaw Cyclone and I was impressed. Well, I'd never been into any decent folders, but had been considering finding something better than the cheap one's I had been carrying. The first Google results pointed me here and I found a dealer with a good price on a Mini-Cyclone (with on/off switch). I grabbed one of those right away and loved it. A while down the road, I decided I better pick up the full-sized Cyclone before they all disappeared and someone happened to have one on the Exchange the day I started looking. This place turned a passing thought of "I'd like something nicer" into a collection that both amuses and frustrates my wife. :)

Once again, thanks for the chance at a great knife! Here are the Cyclones I've picked up thus far.

Well dang! I'm flattered bro:)

I've seen all sorts of generosity on these forums so it would be hard to narrow it down to one. I've won a few giveaways here as well as received random gifts from people like Marky Mark (TotalDbag) and Jaiofspam.

I also have this site to thank for my interest making knives. I would probably still be carrying flea market knives if I hadn't found this awesome place.

Congrats on 1K budddy:thumbup:
