I can't get enough of this knife. Perfect EDC for me (I like big edc's). Perfect handle, great blade shape and length. Rivals my RMD as "Perfect Knife" in my little collection.

Stripped, convexed, looked really good under the coating, with just some mini-dimples on the pommel and around the talon hole.

Nice job. I love mine, too.

I'm waiting to see who'll be the first to put a butt grind on one. If all the exposed butt metal was removed and the rounded contour of the micarta was followed up from the bottom, it would resemble am AD rear. I may try it one day. :D

Nice work Tomthebaker. I like the looks of it. How is that as a slicer now that you put a vex edge on it?

It's a wicked slicer. Full-height grind makes it pretty thin at the edge, considering the thickness of the stock.

Thanks for the info on this Tom....at first I thought this blade was way too thick...but my weakness for infi and the good comments are starting to get to me. I like the transparent oranges that show the edge of your blade.

You are a man of exceptional taste, mr. baker. I have many knives in the same blade length as the Boss Street, but you guys just have to post all your damn cool pics which are practically forcing me to buy one. Thanks. Thanks a lot. :p

Not at all. Really just stripped the coating, convexed the edge, and d*cked up the tip!

Are you for real? no polishing? I've been hearing so much about how the new Busse's are black and caked with de-carb under the coating(since the credit crunch...). I've seen some pretty horrific pics of some freshly stripped ones. But I guess as it's such a small knife they probably use better pieces of steel and I'm assuming they put the full flat grind on after they heat treat. These pics have given me hope :)
I'm gonna go ahead and strip my Boss down.
What did you use to remove the coating and did you take the handles off?
Cheers man,
Gabriel.

the decarb was mostly on the competition finish blades. ive never seen the decarb on stripped knives, and ive had more than a few.

any chemical paint stripper will work, and there is no need to remove the scales.

I'm another fan of this knife...Within a week, I had broken down and committed one of my prototype versions to be a user. Great for large EDC...not that I carry it every day here in the 'burbs of Philly, but for a stroll in the woods, it rides along most every time. :) Very comfortable in the hand and on the hip.
