The software seems to be showing the wrong time zone settings. My timeszone is off by an hour.

User CP -> Edit Options. The time is set correctly.

I doubt it. That's what they keep Norway there for, a bumper, break the force of those Atlantic storms, hold off invading Greenlanders ...

Everything is fine with Sweden. Yours truly, well that's another matter :D.

The fault was on this computer - It wasn't setup for auto DST and IE couldn't pass on the info to Bladeforums.

DST is a nuisance. We should all go on GMT and stay there.

Except for India, which would go on GMT + :30. :)

I didn't check the option for automatically adjust for daylight savings on this computer (Windows). :o

So this computer probably had the wrong settings the whole time, I just never noticed it before. I also normally surf from my laptop or Pocket PC, not this one. Since Europe and the US have different dates when they change over, this software can automatically read the info from your browser and not get stuck in limbo during the week difference in DST changeovers.

I think we'd all be better off if they simply stopped the Earth from spinning and then just made it the same timezone everywhere.

Wouldn't that require us to important a bunch of extra suns?

I don't think we're quite ready for that.:)

I don't mind the spinning...It's the seasonal wobble that annoys me (I live near Buffalo NY)...

And that's because of that comet that crashed in Hudson's Bay back in 7200BC... :grumpy:

I can live without the Mastodons, and the Dodo Birds...But I'd sure like to get that equatorial rainforest back... ;)

I think we should take Australia apart and build a Ringworld.

Why would you want to dismantle that last remaining paradise on Earth? Simply leave it where it is and take all the other nasty bits and make your Ringworld.

You can, if you wish, take all the cities, horrible places, and leave the rest of us happily enjoying our bucolic existence.

BTW, when they stop the Earth spinning they will have to make sure Oz is pointing towards the sun, I need to keep my new solar hot water heating working.

If Australia is pointed towards the sun, you won't have any water to heat, all evaporated. The whole continent will become one big desert. Oh, wait ...

See, I knew about the new solar hot water heating system. Just trying to help, in my own way.:)

And yes, there's certainly no problem a physicist can't make more complicated.:D
