I don't know how well appreciated Carter blades are around here, but I love them! This guy truly knows what knives are all about and his work is phenomenal! If you want the sharpest knife you could imagine, this is where to find it.

What I'm getting at is for those of you who don't know, Murray just posted a bunch of new knives and he's running a "buy 2 get 1 free" deal!!!!

(( good post otherwise, but that's deal-spotting ))

The guy's work always looked great to me---it's been particularly featured in several yearly cutlery buying guides and trade books that I sometimes purchase at my local bookstore. They look to be top-shelf...thanks for the link, maybe I can get myself something for Christmas. :D

I have several of his knives and I especially like his kitchen knives. They truly are "insanely" sharp. I custom ordered mine and had to wait a long time. Having some available for immediate shipment is nice.

Later today I'm using Murray's yanagi ba to carve a turkey. I don't make much sushi but it's a great bird slicer!

I've got a small fancy fixed blade in a pocket sheath, great little knife. Laminated Hitachi white with damascus sides, abalone and ebony handles. It didn't quite meet his standards of excellence so he struck his name through on the blade, I got quite the discount for it in his bargain bin at the Blade Show :)

He's a lot of fun to talk to at a show. He can free-hand sharpen better than most guys with clamp systems. While he's talking.

His kitchen knives are fantastic!
Freaking lazers!!
I've got 13 of them now.

I'd love one of his neck knives but ,to me, they are just priced more than they are worth.

He is a heck of a nice guy!
