Spent all day on the river yesterday, with absolutely no mishaps. Caught about a half a dozen bass on a rebel crawfish, no real big ones but several in the 2 to 3 pound range. The maples are turning red and the laurels are budding it is one of my favorite times of the year, sorry no pics I forgot my camera.

BTW: Joe got his new paddle and is ecstatic, it is a little better than his old one, he took his yak out for a little bit this morning and is now sleeping on the couch, I guess he ain't as tough as his old man :p yeah right.:D

DANG TYPOS!!!

Running boar, when you posted a picture of you guys fishing in the river I saw the color of the water and remembered A lure I used to use for water color like that. http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=B14AXMK It may be a tad early to use it, but I would tune it to run true first and cast it out and reel it in a perhaps twice the speed that I normally would. I found this out just playing around one day, thought I got hung up. Killer. This lure and method is quite good. But this color worked only on the colored water you was on, tea looking. This one lure caught so many bass that just about all the gold plating was gone, but they still would nail it, until my buddy lost it one day.
