Because it`s almost time for the JK Handmade Knives Anniversary Contest! This May I will be celebrating my 5th year as a full time knifemaker, so as is my custom, I will be holding my Design The Anniversary Knife Contest. The contest will begin on April 1st, and end on April 30th, so you have some time before then to think of a design.

There will be some rules this year, which must be followed.

1) You must be a JK Knives customer, past or current, to enter. (I get real tired of people, who never post here otherwise, to pop in, make an entry, then leave.)
2) The design must fit these parameters: no more than 12" overall, and no more than 1 1/2" tall.
3) The winner will get his knife made for free, in any standard handle material, but no sheath.
4) I have heard rumors of having "Team Designs", that`s fine, but each person will not get a free knife, they will each get $50 off the price of the knife.
5) I reserve the right to say no to any design (never had to yet, but you never know.)
6) One entry per person
7) You must post a full size picture, no thumbnail pictures.
8) The winner must send me a full size cardboard cutout.
9) I must be sent an email with permission to reproduce the design. (I had one guy in the past request $15 per knife if I sold any. Needless to say, I told him where to go)

Remember, this starts on April 1st, I will start a new thread then.

Sweet! I've only read about one of these..........oh, I'm in!

I hope some of the past few years designs come back. There were some beauties. I've designed a knife already so sitting on the sidelines and cheering people on is good enough for me.

Here is mine, John. It is Aldos 1095 1/8" (not heat treated yet) I love this design and would like to see what you can do with one like this. We can call it the JK Polander.

BTW, if someone knows why none of my photos from Photobucket or Imageshack will not load let me know. This has been going on for a while.

I don't know why,but all I did was replace the URL /URL on the ends with
to get your pic to show.
Try copying the IMG tag vs the URL tag.
Nice little knife BTW,I like the scandi grind.

We always get such great designs this time of year. C'mon April Fool's Day!
