God Bless our Veterans.

We appreciate all you have done to maintain freedom in our country and pursue it outside our borders as well.

We salute you all.

Amen Brother. To all vets, past and present, please accept the thanks of a grateful nation.

Steve

I respect all Veterans... and thank them for their sacrifices, today and every day. Smoke tonite, both for the living and dead veterans in my family, and the greater family we share as Americans.

While you all are thanking us, be sure to thank the greedy, profiteering, war mongering politicians, without whom we veteran's would not exist.

Ben? You would piss in the soup on the way to heaven. :D

You fonny mon.

Of course, Vets and those men, women, and kids over there right now...doing their very best because they said they would.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe!
To you from failing hands, we throw
The torch-Be yours to hold it high!
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

-Captain John D. McCrae

Just a little Canadian tradition.

To all my fellow retired, discharged, or Active Marines, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, yesterday, plus my thanks to all fellow servicemen and women for their service to their country!

Semper Fi brothers and sisters!

Here here (hear hear?)! Either way, a giant thank you to all of our vets, past present, and especially for the ones who didn't come home. This nation owes it all to you.

The correct term is, "hear, hear!" It is an abbreviation for "hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!"

Now get down and gimmie 20 young pup!

Nasty, known in a former life as Sarge

May our Country be 'Semper Paratus'

-thanks from an old coastie...to all of us who served in whatever capacity and did their best in uncertain and dangerous times.

I saluted the old bum who stands on the freeway exit with the sign that says:

"Homeless Vet. Please Help. God Bless".

He gave me the finger.

Nasty said:
Hey...that was you?
Yup, that was me. But now that I know that's you standing there, Nasty, I promise not to drive on the shoulder anymore. I did enjoy your headfirst dives into the oleanders though.
