Time to simplify things

I am after much thought trying to simplify my knife hobby and give away some knives that see little use or are othervise not my favourites. These are:

Case sodbuster. I have sanded the handle of this knife matte to make it less slippery, so it does not look exactly like this anymore. Othervise it is in original condition.

Opinel with corckscrew, unused.

Slipjoint-pattada by Fox knives. There is gap between the spring and one liner, so this is not in prime condition. Othervise it is a working fine. Slightly used.

I might throw in a couple of modified Opinels, made to friction folders. I can supply the lockrings, but I doupt that they will work anymore after the modifications to the handle. If I decide to give them away, these will be sent as a bunch to the resipient, not as single pieces.

I will put all that are interested in an excell-file and make a draw in a couple of weeks.

That opinel with the corkscrew is awesome. Friction folders are about all I will carry anymore, it's hard to beat the simplicity and character of these knives.

So BJE you are interested in getting the Opinel? Anyone who is interested in any of these, tell me your choise. If there is only one interested of some of these the knife will go to him, otherwise there will be a lottery.

Time: two weeks. I will post the choises here 22.10. Take your pick. :)

That Slipjoint-pattada by Fox knife has great looking lines, I'd be in on the chance for that!
Thanks and it's tuff to slim down some times

I would love that pattada for myself.

I'm not really into sodbusters, but I have a friend who uses them hard at work. He has been trying out different brands and steels, but I don't think he's tried Case's CV. So I would regift that straight to someone who would appreciate it.

At any rate, thanks and good luck with the simplification. I gotta do that someday.

At least these will stay:

Queen Cutlery Mountain man
Case trapper
Case Slimline trapper
Schrade Walden (trapper?) that I got from a forum member (I am still aved by his gesture)
Rough Rider camping knife and Granddaddy Barlow
Fox Pattada
Laguoile R. David
2 Opinels that have either sentimental value or are heavily modified by me.

And the puukkos and a the 2 Wictorinox + and the moderns I have.. where did all these knives come from? :D

I think you'll need to do a drawing. I also would love to have that Patada. And the Case and the Opinel, in that order.
This is very generous of you. It would probably be easier to sell them.

I don't believe I have seen a pattada before, but put a wharncliffe blade, wood scales and a pocket clip and it is a recreation of my grail modern folder that I had Alan Davis. While the Opinel is calling my name, the pattada is calling me stronger. Thanks for the giveaway and good luck to all!

I would be interested in an Opinel. This is one knife I haven't got a chance to check out yet. Thanks!

I would love a chance at any. If you have a #8 Opinel locking ring left over when done, THAT would make me real happy.

I'll add everyone to my excell. And a nr 8 lockring can be found.

The slipjoint-Pattada seems to be quite popular!

I would be interested in your modified Opinels. I've had a very hard time finding folders that I can open due to my fingers not working well (bad case of RA). I have now acquired a couple different sized Opinels and find them a joy to use as I can open them easily. I have a plan to start modifying these with an easy open notch plus possibly making them a true friction folder as you stated in your original post.

So with all that said, I would be more than happy to put into the pool for your Opinel lot.

I have a hankering for that Opinel with the corkscrew--or really any Opinel for that matter. I need to see what they are all about.

Thanks!
Daniel
