Time to Tinker?

Hi Guys

I've got a "needs work" that does! I locked up fine for several years but now the bar does not engage the tang. I know that I can take it apart but what should I look for?? Can I polish the bar/blade without screwing anything up? Not an expensive blade but I use it at work and would feel better if it can be fixed. Any guesses ??? and thanks. Rodney

Some pictures would help. If the liner isn't moving at all when the blade is opened completely, it probably has a pivot issue. Could be rust or some grime. I'd say take it apart, lube it all up, and see if it works when you put it back together. If not you'll have to start troubleshooting.
