I collect "rigging knives" so spend a lot of time bouncing back to Camillus who made so many of the folding riggers for other companies.
I was wondering if anyone had ever laid out a timeline for the Cami 695, 696 and 697 and/or documented "intersections" of the Cami models and those models stamped with other companys' names.
For instance: I have a 696 Camillus Piranha with the half-serrated blade and visible spring rivets that No. One Son gifted me after I first announced I was officially collecting riggers.
AND, I have two late, barehead Buck 315s, the Cami 695, one where the spring rivets are visible and one where they're not.
All the above suggests these questions:
1) did Camillus ever make a Buck 315 "Piranha / half-serrated" version?
2) are there Cami 695's (and maybe 696's) with and without visible spring rivets?
BTW: I just noticed a Cami rigger with a FULLY serrated sheepfoot blade. ???
