I don't remember what I told you all last...

he has Hirschprungs disease. It means a lack of nerve development in part of his lower intestine, so things are hard to get through.

They removed a small part of his lower colon, but found a lot of scar tissue from his first operation. Also, they found that the artery supplying blood to the area is very short and thick, so that it will not be possible to connect him back up again, ( colostomy for life, in all probability) unless further medical advances occur with respect to his condition.

Lord willing, he will be back home within a week.

We have had a lot of help from family, friends, and our new Church folks here.

Your prayers and support have meant a lot to me.

It is nice to chek in now and again to relax, laugh, and cry.

His mother is Japanese, so he really looks just like his brothers and sister.

Damn! Tom that is horrible. I really hate to hear of kids having serious ailments and especially something as serious as this.:(
It's one thing for adults to have serious problems but with kids it's on a whole new level! :grumpy: :mad:
Maybe that growing up with a colostomy bag it will seem normal and Timothy won't think much about it.

Timothy sure is a cute little guy and Smoke will be sent that things be fixed up in a good and gentle way for him as well as you and your family.

It is hard to accept health problems in kids... :( Let's hope that the problem has a surgical solution. Smoke going up, Tom.
 
Timothys picture broke my heart. I hope that all turns out will for him. Smoke and prayers sent.
 
Its not very manly to sit here typing with tears in my eyes but here I am. Timothy is a beautiful little boy. My prayers for Timothy, you, your wife and family.

I will light some smoke now for the Infinite to give you strength, because we always need more of that, but love, courage & compassion you already have plenty, it seems...

ps Easy to love... For sure, and so are the other kids, and my wife too. I think God gave me an easy to love family, because I am so easily self centered. These easy to love people draw me out. Still have a long way to go with the selfishness thing...

Tim is in our prayers. I told my wife about your son and she read your posts. As you may remember our son Simon is only a week older so your and Tim´s fate touches us very much.
