Ok, I only have a couple seconds, but here's a couple pictures of my TiNi Aluminum Flash II. None have yet been boxed. Barely any have been made (only a few hours of production). I snagged mine before I slipped out the door for the evening Halloween celebrations with my wife and boys.

I'll try to tweak the color as perfect as possible later. For right now, this is close, but the handle is one shade darker (at least on my home monitor).

I’ll post more pictures later. For now, enjoy!

Check out this directory for some really large, high res images of these (all large images listed are meant to be temporary and may be deleted at a later date to save on server space).

Thumbnailed images...as usual.

Here's another picture. I don't know what's up with my scanner, but the Flash handle is a noticable shade darker than the Vision's. It's about halfway between the Vision's silvery/grey and black. You'd never know from this side-by-side photo...would you? :D

I've yet to stop playing with this knife! Oh, it has very different character than the Zytel Flash with a satisfying "click" when opening.

What I really like about this thing is how high the clip sits. I hate having large 'chunks' of knife sticking out the pocket.

yup! another good point. i like the "low ride" of the knife. i thought it would be hard to get out when needed, but is really easier than the knives that "stick out". i don't know if R&D was really on the ball with this knife or just "got lucky", but either way, this is now my favorite knife. i like the smaller version, you don't even know it is in your pocket(until you need it:)

Are you commenting on how often our R&D personnel gets lucky? ;)

Thanks ALL for your comments. We "nailed" ;) this one!

A couple more. This time with differing background...hopefully to better bring out the color in the handle. It is a little closer, but not by much.

Like the tapestry from my home office (the lower one)? :)

No! :) You should know that is from my living room furniture. Want to see pictures of my kids on those cushions? ;)

Holy crap, that's a sweet looking knife! My jaw has dropped...

My very first folder was a SOG Magnadot. Man, has SOG come a long way. My hats off to all at SOG. (Sniff, sniff) Is that a "BLADE: knife of the year" award I smell?

Although, I tend to be brand loyal to another company whose name also starts with an "S", I may have to defect sides for this one. ;)

Hey FTC,

Are you using the "S" work here in the SOG Forum? Oops, we are the "S" word IN the SOG Forum! ;)

Glad you're liking the looks of this new knife. I've been holding off purchasing a Flash till this model came out (I like non Zytel materials for my personal knives). Using it has been a pure joy!

Don't worry Ron, I won't let any "bugs" infest the SOG forum! ;)

From an aesthetics standpoint, I like the way the rear of the handle has a slight dovetail swoop. Is there an ergonomic reason for that too?

I too like the high-mounted clip so it sits deeper in the pocket.

Unfortunately, one of the local big mall knife dealers that sells SOG had no plans on bringing it up here. :( I'm hoping to buy one through the internet but concerned that customs may seize it as an auto -- although, by law, it should be legal as that other K company with the Speed Safe can sell their knives here.

The "dovetail" does allow a bit of extra grip in the hand.

Regarding Canada, we're in more serious conversations at the moment with your Customs regarding our ArcLock knives and their "gravity" opening capabilities. We'll see about the Assisted Openers.

Checkout www.knifezone.ca and they will order most everything and also sell sog knives here in canada, I love dealing with them, some of the best people I have ever dealt with.

Email them to custom order it for you since it is not listed, and they have no problem with that.... I got them to get me the new spyderco rescue 93mm that way. Prices are better then you would pay with the conversion rate right now with duty included.

Thanks for the tip Westicle.

Ron,

Good luck with customs. They are an inconsistent bunch and I doubt some of the customs officers and inspectors actually know what the laws are. I've had knives with bolt action locks come in with no problem from the U.S., yet I've heard others say they had theirs seized.

In addition, I've seen both bolt action lock knives and other spring assisted knives (That "K" company) sold legally through cutlery retailers here. Highly inconsistent.
