tinkering with the ZT-0200

still working on it, have a few more holes in the scales to drill out but here is the work so far....

presenting a "ventilated" ZT-0200:



I may at some point make some 1/4" thick brass and copper scales for this knife. (also note the recurve is almost gone, this is from repeated attempts by several knifemakers and ZT to put an edge on the knife......

finished all the holes in the scales.




also had a machinist friend take off a 1/2mm of blade and reprofile, using a mill and a refrigerated coolant flooder. Its MUCH easier now to sharpen, i can actually get it to cut. (the knife has had a few knifemakers and ZT sharpen it, all failed and chipped out and rounded within seconds of cutting). It holds an edge now. Machinist friend thinks the edge was over heat treated too much or work hardened somehow. .
