Tiny stockman - 108OT stockman similar knives

Might look at Hen & Rooster; I think the '303' pattern (2-3/4" closed). I don't know if they're available in carbon steel, but I do have a couple nice, older H & R stockman patterns from the early '90s in stainless steel. Insofar as the aesthetics go, they're essentially near identical to the 108 OT's size & profile, with rounded bolsters and swedged blades (nice touch, BTW).

And I'm pretty sure you could still find 'new, old stock' 108 OTs out there from the good ol' Schrade USA era, in their wonderful 1095. If you really want that knife, I don't think you'd have too much trouble finding one. May pay a little extra for it, but the steel alone will make it worthwhile. I've 'overpaid' for my 8OT and also a 25OT (large folding hunter), and have never regretted it.

Here's my 108 OT; I acquired it long ago ('70s-80s; don't even remember where or what I paid for it), and it lived unused and unappreciated in my desk drawer for 2+ decades, until I'd finally seen the light :) :

Mudguard, I had two of these that I carried for over 22 years, lost the Uncle Henry first and the last one, an Old Timer, in 2005. I had no trouble finding two used (but nice) USA made 108OT just by keeping my eyes open - paid $10 for a good one and $20 for a mint one. I haven't found another Uncle Henry yet by stumbling across one, but I do see them in the classifieds from time to time. Good luck, nice little carry knife. OH

I love my 1080T. It got me really interested in the compact stockmans. Case makes one, knife pattern ending 333 is only 2 5/8". Would love to find one in CV with bone scales. I believe the EDC forum knife was a sweet Queen small stockman in D2 with moonglow scales, I think around 3". I just picked up this Rough Rider small stockman in Smooth Black bone with bowtie shield and filed back spring. Its pretty much perfect in fit and finish and walk and talk and super sharp. It makes a handsome riding partner with my Forge De Laguiole.

I "overpaid" for my first couple Schrades. Then, once "satiated" I just kept my eyes open and they seemed to come along at good prices over time.

No proper grail quest ever actually ends.

Wow you don't see one in great conditions like that one often enough..

Tiny stockman 1080T stockman similar knives ---Who makes a knife similar now days?

Firstly, it's One-Zero-Eight-Oh-Tee (108OT) vs. One-Zero-Eight-Zero-Tee (1080T). The Oh-Tee = Old Timer.

Secondly, I'd suggest you keep your eyes open for a vintage one. They can be found fairly easily and quite inexpensively.

Also the Case and Queen each make a small stockman

Case makes two models of Small Stockman patterns. The '333 and '327. They are slightly smaller than the Case Peanut. The only difference is squared bolsters on the 6333 and rounded on the 6327. To my knowledge they are only currently offered in Case Tru-sharp stainless.

Here's the 6333 in the lower right of this picture, along with a Mini Trapper and Pen knife for comparison.

Yes, the swedge is rather unique to all the Case sub 3" Stockman's. I would have loved it if Case had come out with these models in a as ground option, which would have further emphasized/enhanced the beauty of a swedge.
