I used the motor from an old sewing machine to build a small grinder to make those hard to get places nice.
I used a rubberwheel from an old videorecorder for contactwheel.

I use the same belts as my bigger grinder and cut them into the size needed. Wheel is about 1/2"*1/2".
Its not very powerfull but I think the motor runs 5000-10.000 rounds/min so speed works insted of power. I´m using the foot pedal so its only running when I need it.

I love it !!! I bought an old motor at a garage sale a coupla years ago. My wife wanted to know what I was going to do with it. It seemed strange to her that I bought and had no obvious purpose fot it. Now I can tell her what it's for .better yet I'll get it built 1st. Thanks for reminding me.

Great idea!!!!! I've got a small lapidary buffer with a foot control I might use for one.
