W hen working with nickel silver, copper, brass, micarta or any soft pin material, get one of the miniature chinese drag saws made by
xacto (sp). You can cut the pins almost completely flush with the surface. it saves on getting the pins hot from sanding them flush with the handle surface.

Most hobbie supply houses carry them. I may have said the wrong description they might be Japanese drag saws:confused: . The one I use is about 5" long and fits into the xacto handle with the hole in it, I hope that makes sense.

Mark, if that saw has very fine teeth and a hard back to it, I think that's the jeweler's saw. Good tip, though!

That's the one Jeff.

It's kinda funny. I've had that little saw for years and years. Always wondered why it cut like crap until I accidentally pulled instead of pushed one night. It's amazing how much better your brain functions when your not polishing of a quart of bourbon every day:D

I feel your pain, Mark Ol' Buddy! My son turned 21 last week and dragged me through every Irish pub in Boston. Naturally, I had to "perform". :D
