When you leave the shop for the day, release belt pressure on the grinder contact wheels. If you don't it'll create a flat spot.

(If you read this thread before you read the one I just posted at 1020, go read it first :) )

Thanks Kit!
I was wonderin what was causin that thumpin noise when I was grindin.
I'll be sure to release the tension from now on!

or never shut it off:rolleyes: :D

Kit I don't have that problem? what brand grinders or wheels
is this happening to?

interesting must be in the brands
when I worked as a tool and die maker
we never had to do that to any of the Bandsaws or the cut off saws?

the contact rubber must be thinner or harder on
the industrial or older models
I haven't had that problem with the one I have
either, but it's a big one too.
good tip thought if it is a problem.:)
