Your fingers will NOT win in a fight against your bandsaw. That's what the doctor told me tonight after I apparently tried to cut my ring finger down the middle.

And I preach safety! Just goes to show no matter how careful you think you are, you can still have an accident

I've done it too. The tips of your fingers have so many nerve endings that it takes forever for those cuts to completely heal.

I found it was easier to just finish the cut....less stiches that way, of course, you soon run out of fingers!! <insert that smilie thing here>

Someone once told me that touching your knuckles to a 50 grit belt on your grinder is like opening your car door at 60 mph and dragging your hand on the asphalt....
