I just got a Tip Top barlow on ebay that way made by Camillus. The knife is in excellent shape. Can someone tell me when the term Tip Top was made. The seller told me in the 40's sometime. I was just curious. Thanks.

If your Camillus "Tip Top" Barlow knife has the Camillus name stamped on four lines, it was made in 1942 or earlier. If the Camillus name is stamped on three lines and has a model number 10 or 11, it was made in 1946 or later. I located a 1942 and 1946 catalog that shows the "Tip Top" knives. If you can e-mail me your postal mailing address, I will send you copies without charge.

Tom,
I looks at my knife. It has 4 lines on each blade. What an incredibly well done knife this is. For a knife that is 60 something, the walk and talk is incredible.

Thanks for you help!
