I had the blade black etched with vinegar and ferric chloride but it just did not look right so rubbed it down with some Rottenstone to a much subtler finish, however there is still a bit of shade distinction between the Aogami Super (core) and 1075 I used to forge the blade. The blade is thicker than I normally do to accommodate the hollow grind. I am really pleased with the Titanium pinning on this knife, it has Ti in bolsters, liners and the spacer and Giraffe bone on Micarta for the scales. It was going to be thinner but I could just not grind away those bolster bevels on the spine...One hand opening. OAL 178mm 7inch, blade 74mm 2,91inch with cutting edge of 74mm 2,95inch, 2,8mm 0,11inch thick, HRC >60, BESS 150-190g. Thanks for looking, Ig.
