So I picked up a 100ft bunch of paracord to make up a couple pairs of boot laces, in thinking about uses for the left over 90 or so feet I had an idea. In the trunk of my car I carry a harbor freight 24 inch breaker bar with the proper socket for my lug nuts to reduce any road-side fastener drama. Of course, this had the typical polished chrome finish with the contoured handle. I usually wipe it down with a light coat of fluid film to reduce corrosion then buff clean. Would it be feasible to cord wrap the handle to offer better grip as well as providing emergency cordage? If so what the best technique to use on this? Simple and easy is the key- there is zero need for decoration.

Whats the best finishing method to keep the cord from loosening up while still being accessible if I WANT to remove it?

the best way I found was to keep a little tail about two or three inches of each end, and then instead of knotting them, use some other cord to whip them together, I did it on my izula gave a cool look, as I used a contrasting color, and it acted like a bead, but soft. if you do it right, the cord is pretty secure so you would probably have to cut it off to remove it, but mine didn't loosen in three years of use.
