Hi, I'm looking for any tips on buffing/polishing G10. Thanks.

Try "Pink Scratchless" buffing compound.

The degree to which you sand the G10 makes a big difference too.

LOL, I thought you were pulling my leg with the "Pink" buffing compound till I googled it. I will give it a try and thank you.

By the way, would you recommend where to buy the stuff. The only places I found charge around $12.00 plus $10 shipping, which I find kind of ridiculous to pay for shipping which is almost the same amount as the item being shipped.

Email me a link or referral if you would please thanks.

I'm sure I got it from Jantz, or the like. I haven't even seen it at Caswell, but they may carry it by now.

I can always come up with a truckload of stuff I could use whenever I place an order, so shipping isn't so out of line.

It is pretty expensive as far as compounds go, but on many materials it makes a big difference. When you figure a tube will last for years, and hundreds of scales, it's a drop in the bucket.

Personally I use green compound on my g10 handles, but like said above the amount of prep sanding is required if you want the dark lustrous polish.

I find if I don't hand sand the g10 to at least 1200 grit before polishing that the compound will get in the micro grooves in the g10 and "stain" it green if you will.

Ive attached some pictures for examples:
