Is it just me, or did the sticky thread of the same name disappear from the Cantina some time ago?

I unstickied it about 2 or 3 weeks back. Uncle Bill has the "How to order" thread, the "Safety" thread, and the "Is Uncle Bill an honest man" thread stickied. If a Gold, Knifemaker, or Manufacturer member want to add the link to that thread under his signature line ( Like Uncle Bill does in his sig. line ) it would be appreciated.
 
I did add it to my sig line,
but it would be easier to find if it were in more places.
 
If we're maxed out on stickies, why not remove the "Is Uncle Bill and Honest man?" thread. I don't think Bill's honesty has ever been in question, has it? I dunno, just a thought.

Maybe make one sticky thread that is locked
and only contains a list of significant threads?

With a title like:

Read First...Ordering...Safety...Honesty...& More

I damned sure agree with what Josh is saying! That thread has long served its purpose and should be allowed to migrate. Dean's thread is much more informative and important to the forum than whether Bill is honest or not. I get aggravated every time I look up and see that damned thread. If a man is honest let others say it as has been done and then let it go, that should be plenty proof enough!:grumpy: :rolleyes: :p :barf: :(
 
True....first time visitors probably see it as something that is still "in question"....maybe for them, but not for the rest of us reglurs....;)
 
Yvsa has a very good point.

However, since Uncle isn't posting as much as he used to, it is may not be quite as obvious.

Still overall, I think the "honest" sticky thread should go--it is kinda tacky IMO.

The folks here and the forum activity should communicate the same thing, though perhaps in a less direct way.

And I still think it is an invitation for scumbags to try and take advantage, and he doesn't need that kind of crap now. His karma quotient is pretty good, I think he should save up for meds myself, instead of getting rooked.

Just his being around and spending what time he can here instead of dealing with folks trying to take advantage of his principles increases the overall karma quotient more IMO.

I guess it's up to Bill and whoevever made it sticky.

But I'm sure my karma quotient has gone up since I've been hanging out here, and read his posts. I see and do things a little differently.

Same here. I've had mixed feelings about it for a long time, and now, it's just gotten boring to see every day.
 
Interestingly,

in the past 5 days that thread has had about 20 viewings

before it got unstuck it was getting about 20 viewings each day.

As I noticed the count rachet up
I had wondered where all the viewings originated;
A---direct click from the forum,
or
B---as a result of Bladeforum wide searches

now we know.

Oops, meant for this to be on the thread that Dean started and that has 3,329 views instead of this one. Just wasn't paying enough attention.
I brought the correct one back to the top so it would be easy to find.:)
