The Southard is a nice looking knife, but I severely hate the knife. They isolated part of the market instantly by sitting the lockbar so high (or the hole so low) and no lefty clip. Quite a few lefties carry knives, so why in the hell are models for us so isolated?

It isn't like milling the lockbar to allow lefty opening and tapping holes for a lefty clip takes that long, and all it does is allow full market exposure. Every time I see a new model without lefty options, I view that as a giant "F*** you!" from the manufacturer.

requires more cad work, more than ya think, and if theyre making the quoter from R/H knives, then why bother, , I suppose in cases like this majority rules. But if all you lefties hound spyderco and brad, maybe youll get a left hand version

I quite enjoy flipping the Southard blade out with my left hand middle finger. It may take a minute of practice, but yeah, it's fun.

I enjoy owning this knife and will never get rid of it, but the handle does seem a bit short. All in all though I am pleased with design.
