I'm new around here, but I've really enjoyed listening and learning (and occasionally posting) about the traditional toys that we all love.

This knife recently came to me in a trade, and after some time in hand and in the pocket, I realized that it would probably find a better home elsewhere. After seeing the recent spate of giveaways, it seemed proper that I should pass some good karma along to someone here.

What we have here is a 1986 Case stainless small stockman (63033). It's seen a little pocket time and has as little scratch on the pen blade, but hey, none of us are perfect ;)

This is open to everyone. The only rule is that in your post you should respond to: "Smaller is better because..."

The drawing will be on June 6 when my son (who will be 14 months old that day) will pull the winning number from a box. Gotta put him to work somehow :)

Thanks for having a great forum here!

Good luck,
Walt.

I'll eat the first spot. Smaller is better because it fits in the pocket quite well... :D

Smaller is better because it is easier to carry discreetly and not threatening if you need to use it for knife duty. I rarely find a need for anything bigger than my mini copperhead even though I sometimes carry a larger knife. The mini copperhead is my most often carried slipjoint. Thanks for the give away. Here's a photo of my "precious" as some of us like to say:

Smaller is better because...because it just is! Small cars are better on gas, sometimes small gestures of kindness are the ones that mean the most, small knives are often the most pocketable. And sometimes small words do more to drive home an important idea than multi-syllabled monstrosities.

Just me trying to think outside the bun a bit. Sweet little knife, thanks for the giveaway

Smaller is better because...I can carry it in my pocket and actually use it instead of it sitting on my mantel collecting dust.

'Cause it's really hard to do a tracheotomy with 5" "tactical" folder. And those small knives get really sharp...

Smaller is better because it is more appropriate for urban situations. Even though I shouldn't feel bad pulling out an 0561, people sometimes think I'm crazy :)

Sure is a gorgeous knife

Thanks for the contest bud. Smaller is better because big things come in small packages!

Smaller is better because it fits in my dress pants better at work and in my watch pocket of my jeans outside of work. Cool little knife thanks for the chance!

Smaller is better because if I lean over a client and tap them with a peanut sized knife in my scrubs it isn't as bad as a 6" closed monster knocking them out!!

Smaller is better because I can fit more of it in my pockets :)

That's a lovely knife and this is a great giveaway, thanks for your generosity. I won a S.S. Case Stockman in a giveaway a while ago, so I'm going to forego the chance. Good luck to everyone. NOT AN ENTRY.

Smaller is better because ... well only a man can say that actually :D

Great little knife

Thanks

Smaller is better because it leaves more room for a bigger knife. :)

BTW thanks for your generosity the stockman is a great utility pattern, good luck to everyone else but this is not an entry, I have a few stockmans already.
