Since Knarfeng declined my offer of the 4" Hen & Rooster cranberry bone 3 blade stockman, one of you Folkers might have a deserving young 'un to present with.

Post up the request, I'll have Bastid/Gus Kalanzis and Blues pick the deserving party, and send it along.

Remember me when I'm dead, until then, the Season is the Reason.

Contest ends Friday.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Another nice gesture STeven. Some child will be really happy with a new pocket knife...

Great idear Steve.. That will make someone a great present.
I'm gonna pass on this chance though, Travis(my son) already was fortunate enough to win a nice peanut recently .
Time for another young en to enjoy a new knife....

Agreed, nice gesture. Wish I knew a youngster who wanted a knife, sadly they don't seem as interested in knives as I did when I was a little sprout. I think the want is in them they just don't know it:).

STeven,
Lovely gesture.

I too will pass.
My 16 year old knife nut Chava, she has already won a scout knife from Wade

There will be some happy kid!

I have a young cub scout in my den who does not have a knife and really wants to have one. If that seems a worthy cause, I would be happy to place it there for you.

I know of a recent forumite with the screenname ImGatMan.

He's a young fellow, a teacher, who lives in southern Florida. He and his lovely Mrs. are expecting their very first baby.

I think it would be great if that baby came into the world with a fine pocketknife like that.:D

Great gesture Steven, my little brother has a few coming on Xmas. My little sister is getting some too, but she asked, like my lil brother:D.

I have a son who will eventually need a first knife. He's only five months old, though, so there is no rush. A H&R stockman would be a good start for any boy, but mine would only be interested in trying to chew on it at this point. He sure is a cute little thing, though.

I wish I were at home with him right now.

Since there was such an unexpectedly low response rate:

It's pretty much between the cub scout and IGM's baby...you guys decide, and I'll need an address, like to get it out tomorrow or Monday, in time for the Holidays.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I'll have something for you when he is old enough to appreciate it, Andy, might even be able to give it to him myself, down the road, at Blade.

Thanks STeven, I appreciate it. I can't wait for the next Blade! (and the next, and the next) Next year's Blade will be awesome- it will be my first since I really caught the traditional bug. I've been so blind, the last two years I've just sauntered past booth after booth of gorgeous customs and old knives, without paying any attention. Seems so stupid now.

Sent a PM to Gat, in case he is fortunate. :)

This is a fantastic offer, and I really appreciate it, however I think that little boyscout needs a knife. If that can't work out I'd be honored to save it for baby Isabella Sofia.

Jamie, you are a true gentleman. If there's anything I can ever do, you need but holler. STeven...thank you, brother. You, too, are a class act.

Send me an e-mail sixgunner, the concensus is that your scout be deserving....I need an address to ship to.

Good man, STeven. Thanks for even considering me. I'm glad to know Jamie's vote of confidence means so much.

Btw...Sixgunner, it would be awesome if you could get a pic of the kid wearing his cub scout uniform and holding his new knife. I'd love to see the smile STeven's gift puts on his face.

Hmm. I'm inspired by Kohai99's generosity.

I think something appropriate can be arranged for little Isabella Sofia as the May time-frame approaches. :D
