This is one of my favorite times of the year, the Christmas Season! Also one of the most depressing times for me, my mom died on Christmas Eve when I was 15. Let`s cheer an old man up and show your holiday decorations.

Hey, i know this is probably no time for a camera lesson lol, but make sure you have plenty of lighting in the rooms so that your camera can focus. Hold down the shutter half way until you see the green light, no red or flashing red, Then push it down all the way and snap the picture. The flash (if on) will add fill lighting along with the room lighting. Or is that off of a cellphone? If you're taking close up pics, put it in macro mode (a flower symbol most of the time) it will tell the lens that it needs to focus in close. Thats for like inches away though. Just thought i'd let you know :-) great looking decor though.

Be nice to the photo challenged old man, or I won`t tell you your knife is heat treating right now. ;)

John - Looks like a warm and inviting home.

In addition to Suzuki's instructions, I suggest you do this while standing on one leg, waving an arm around in large circles, and cluck like a chicken. This should really help your image quality. If you have a second camera make sure your wife gets pics. ;)

Some nice decorations there John.

We don't have any up yet, and we're leaving town on 12/20 until 12/30 so who knows if we'll even put a whole lot up. I bet we'll put up one tree and some other small stuff, but probably no live tree and exterior decorations for us this year.

I have not even started outside, it would make too much sense to do it while it`s in the 50`s, I need to wait untill it`s below freezing!

We have some up outside but none inside yet, I'll take some pics once we do !!!

Hi John -

None up yet - I will put up the tree, maybe Thursday.....I'll add a pic then.

Beautiful home you have there.

best regards -
