Just got a Matte Bronze TIspine in the mail today. Ive had it two hours and have already taken care of what are possible issues to me (I'm very anal about tolerances and fit and such). Number one the sticky lockbar I'm sure everyone experiences. I tore the knife completely down and took a dremel to the machine marks on the blade/lockbar union and polished them (i dont recommend unless you know what your doing because take a fuzz too much and its junk) and a little graphite and vamouse. Blade wasn't centered very well and I'm not a Teflon washer fan. I'm sure they are good and some prefer them but not I, the guy who decided to put them in there knows more than me but I put pB washers in. A Bm 940 has identical sized washers but in bronze. Just needed to make the hole about 1000th bigger so I wrapped 1000g sandpaper around a drill bit an in 5 mins a snug fit like butta, blade centers perfectly now as well. Lock tite on the pivot screw and stop screw. It's my favorite knife right now. I love the weight and balance, blade geometry and I like Elmax alot. It's not a hard use knife for me so Elmax will perform well. Like I said happy as a clam. Hats off to Lionsteel on this one.
In case your wondering I just swapped the Teflon into my user 940 and it works perfectly. I don't plan on using it anyway and I have two. I am in love for now and my knife fix is fixed for time being anyway. Thanks, Ben.
Ps in response to the thread below mine about use pics. I'll post mine in a couple mos. Its a Pretty knife but I'm gonna use the piss out of it.

Congrats and enjoy your modified TiSpine in good health.
It's a perfect urban EDC folder.
