Titanium anodizing experiments: Trying to match the tiger stripe anno from WE knives

Hey folks,
Been working on trying to figure out how to match WE Knives Tiger stripe anodization. So far:
-I've tried heat + ferric chloride anodization on both polished, bead blasted, and stonewashed titanium

-I've also tried simply heat-anodizing polished and beadblasted titanium, and bead blasted titanium heat anodized looks the most similar, but it's definitely not quite right earlier.

-I haven't tried electrical annos yet, I'll be trying that in a bit, I've gotta fix my electroplating set-up so I can use it for annos instead.

Has anyone attempted this as well?
I'm happy for any suggestions, I'm kind of at a loss of what else to try after electricity.
 
Oh, almost forgot, I'll post pics in a bit I just have to figure out the easiest way to get decent pics of the pieces ive been working on.
