Enjoy!

I cover how to do the cord wrap at the end.

This video doesn't demonstrate what the Ti Backpacker is designed for or does best, I may cover that in another video. This is more of a test of hard use which the Backpacker is not really made for... it is good to see what it can do though! These tests did dull the edge a bit but did not cause any damage.

The Backpacking, Camping, Fishing, Hunting, Boating, Diving, Survival, Back Country, Mountain Climbing, Every Day Carry Knife and more!

And you just had to throw a little bit of folder porn in, didn't ya? You're a tease.
My backpacker (original version) and wharnie TBOK have been great and have gotten even sharper with use. Can't say that about most knives :)

Nice! Thanks for taking the time to do and upload the vid. The Backpacker is one tough mutha ! That folder is SEXY! Nice detent!

Nice video! Thanks, Daniel. I've been playing around making my own carbidized Ti knives from 6al4V sheet, but they look like a monkey made them next to yours.

At about 0:53, you mention that your knife is tempered. I've just been cutting, grinding, carbidizing, and polishing -- no heat treating at all. Am I missing something? What's your tempering process like?

Thanks.

And... DF has time to do videos.
What a cool Cat.

 Thanks!

:D I really will be making more soon!

Thanks for the input on the knives too! I'm actually making an old school Backpacker or two here soon...

I'm saving it for tonight...my favorite channel!;)

Cool vid dude!

-X

I could not have made it without you! Thanks again!

Hmm. Titanium can withstand more than I expected. Neato.

Same here! It was fun to see what Ti could do!

Thanks! I'm happy with the folder too, look out for more!

Hey thanks!

I'm kind of hard to understand as I'm right next to the camera... windy too! I was saying it is chamfered.

Grade 5 or 6al4v Ti needs no heat treat and can not be heat treated. I think there is some misinformation out there as some Beta Ti's can be hardened a bit but they are next to impossible to source. So no temper, just the carbide.
