Titanium bottle opener

Hello there!
I made a titanium bottle opener during the weekend and I think that it turned out great, it works like a dream!
The colours does not show up very well in the pictures, but I will try and take better ones when my new phone arrives.

Hope you like it, it was very fun to make!




 
Nice. Perhaps a more compact version...

The LionSteel Eskaper also opens bottles and it's the size of a small pen (4.17 inches long). It has a very handy tungsten carbide tip for breaking glass (not the beer bottle). Problem is that it weighs 2 ounces because it's solid stainless steel. The titanium version should be coming out later this year and it should weigh much less. Hopefully, they'll hollow it out and may be put a pen in there as well. It won't be cheap. My Hinderer Investigator Pens (4.4 inches long) in stainless steel weigh 1.32 ounces but in titanium it's only 0.84 ounces.

Yeah this was not designed to be something small that could go on a keychain, it does fits in a pocket but is "meant" to be left at the table so to speak. I could design something alot smaller, even as small as the opener on a swiss army knife. I'd just have to use some thicker titanium, or stainless steel that I have laying around the shop.:thumbup:
