hey guys... sorry if this is a topic that has already been covered, but the search function isn't working right now. i bought a titanium buck knife with a 560 steel blade back in 1995. i always envied my grandfather's buck knives, so when i got the chance to buy one myself (ie. turn 18) i jumped at the opportunity. i think i spent around 75 bucks on it at the time. well, just so happens that i shortly discovered the beauty of one handed opening, and never used that knife. i still have it in my collection as i would never dream of getting rid of it. i guess my question is this: is this a pretty common model? is it worth anything other than my sentimental value? thanks for any input on this. it is razor sharp and one hell of a looker;)

Hi Swizzle,

I have a 560 from the same around the same year and another from 2001. They are out of production now, and so are highly collectable. I got the first one from my brother who went to the Buck factory in El Cajon, CA and traded Chuck Buck an old, old Buck knife that Chuck didn't have in his collection (Sorry, I don't know more about that knife!). I think it was made by Hoyt. Anyhow, my brother got the 560 and several other knives and both he and Chuck were both happy with the trade.

I just took a quick look on e-bay and 560's were going for $99.00 to $129.00! So, yes your knife is worth something.:)

its 420 HC, there is a popular upgrade available to a BG42 blade, maybe by now you can go with SV30 too.
