Titanium Compass Watch recommendations?

For my first post I thought I'd ask for recommendations. I've seen some Casio Pathfinders and Suunto brand watches listed, but just curious of the opinion of the members here of their preferred titanium watch that includes a compass. Preferably int he cast range of 100-300. I've always had fossil watches, but want to move up to a real watch that has real use other than for looks (and isn't some mainstream - everyone has - type of watch).

Oh, and I hope to post my EDC soon in the various EDC threads which I'm addicted to.

Also, thanks to this forum I made a purchse of a BM 556 and couldn't be happier.

Good to be here.

Hi Replicant-

Welcome to BladeForums! Virtually any analog watch can be used to tell compass directions by using the markers. Here's how:

Aside from that, you'll find many more suggestions for titanium watches as this thread unfolds.

I love titanium watches, my EDC is a Citizen Skyhawk Titanium, but my favorite compass watch's case is aluminum and carbon fiber. Take a look at the Suunto X-Lander if you want something functional, stylish, and tough.

I've had a couple of Casio's PRG-40T: 40T. The "T" is supposed to stand for titanium, though apart from the bracelet, I'm not sure which parts of the case are Ti, seems like a lot of plastic. They are available on Ebay for around $150, possibly less.

The watch is pretty light, the compass works well and the bracelet adjusts down to fit my fairly small wrist. The only real drawback is that the watch is friggin' HUGE. I wear a Breitling Chrono Avenger everyday, no small watch either, but the 40T is even bigger than that.

I have, however, given up on wearing a compass on my wrist, and have instead started carrying this, clipped to my belt or fanny pack: Altitech.

I wear Casio Pathfinder watches, and I can recommend them without any reservations.

I acutually have up for trade a Casio Pathfinder PRG 60T. The only thing titanium is the band. Stainless back and a lot of too-easy-to-scratch plastic. Great watch though, comes in handy when you'd least expect it.
Hopefully getting a Suunto X9i for Christmas - a $500 watch with built in GPS!

Wow, thank sso much for all of the suggestions. I've been looking at that Tissot T-Touch and the Casio Pathfinder pretty hardcore. I'm also opening up my "requirements" for my new EDC watch to possibly a G-Shock Atomic Solar. I love this forum and have learned so much about knives, survival, watches and gear in general. Thanks again guys, for the suggestions.
