We acquired this knife several years ago and know nothing about it except we believe it is titanium. Does anyone know anything about this knife and/or who the maker is? Closed it is 5 & 1/8" long and fully open it is 9" with a blade length of 4". It is not assisted and has a scale lock. Thank you for any information.

tiguy7, thank you for the info. I can see where this could be one of Warren Thomas' folders. The maker's marks are quite different unless this may have been an early mark. Thats what has us stumped.

it's definitely designed with some inspiration from Steve Ryan, at least

Thank you Lorien for the info. Just wish we could figure out the makers mark.

It appears to have a 'J-P' or a 'J-B' below the winged skull icon. Someone must know. I look on Google but didn't see anything.

I have too much time on my hands....

Good luck.

J-2 knives. Carbidized titanium blade.

Now that it's on an actual searchable log like Bladeforums, which is a real historical record of sorts, it will much more easily pop up in a search with regular keywords, rather than needing to home in specifically on "J-2." Just one of the things that makes a solid forum like Bladeforums superior to fleeting social media when it comes to sharing real information and logging it for posterity.

^^ Thank you Sam! Now I see it: It's a parachute/skull and a wing. Very military. J-2? Why didn't I see that?

Nice. Good luck J J&SW

The logo was pretty hard to read. Knife's kinda neat, I like how flat it is.
