I'm looking for a titanium bodied flashlight to go with my Sebenza. I'd gladly pay a premium for an American made light from a company with a good warranty.

The only such light I'm aware of is the Lenslight, which is crazy expensive even compared to a Surefire.

There are some really good cottage flashlight makers. It's harder to get a 100% USA made flashlight than a knife because things like emitters and control boards are almost impossible to source without going international.

MBI makes amazing lights, I just picked up an MBI HF Ti and love it. Although not made in the USA they are assembled and designed here and a lot of the labor is here (one guy...). CS is also fantastic since it's one passionate guy running everything.

Eagletac also makes some great lights and offer Ti versions of several popular models including the D25C. I've had Eagletac lights and they are also well built, although the difference between Eagletac and MBI is similar to the Spyderco-CRK difference.

Sunwayman is also known for making some really nice Ti lights although I've never owned a Sunwayman.

Keep in mind that it will be almost impossible to find a flashlight with the same finish as a Sebenza, most Ti products I've handled have a much brighter, whiter finish and look very similar to steel, unlike the dark grey matte finish of a Sebenza handle.

The MBI does compliment the aesthetics (and manufacturing tolerances) of the Seb though, I'll try to snap a picture of the pair for you soon.

Although not ti,the Alpha Ready Made from Prometheus is amazing in every aspect and I think compliments a sebenza. You will indeed pay a premium and they're not always available but the tolerances are amazing and the beam is perfection IMHO. Perhaps a bit on the large side as an EDC but it works for me.

If you're okay with the $220 price tag, there's the JetBeam TCR20.

Insingo & Logan.
I have the momentary switch instead of the key chain attachment You can control the light from 0 to max based on the pressure applied.

Only deviation is that this is Stainless.

If you want the Sebenza of flashlights you need to get yourself a McGizmo. Don's lights are TI and will have the same if not better fit and finish than you Sebenza.

Thanks for all the great recommendations guys.

I'm still looking, but I think I'll probably wait until the 300 lumen Surefire Titan-Plus AAA comes out, it's nickel plated brass with a pocket clip and 3 modes for $90ish.

It would be really cool if someone would come out with some beadblasted Ti lights that would accept a Sebenza pocket clip....

100% agree with McGizmo. Best out there period. I would also suggest Macs Customs however you can only get those on the aftermarket now.

That Titan Plus looks like a winner. If we can find one in stock anywhere will be another story...

I'm pretty sure those are nickel platted aluminum.

I don't know if this is true of all Ti flashlights, but from the ones I've handled the threads are always gritty and not very smooth. It's just a property of Ti I guess. Theres a guy on CPF selling special grease to smooth out Ti threads.
