Titanium flipper at least 9.5 inches overall; does such a thing exist?

Big man. Big hands. I'm tired of trying to make small knives work for my grip. I'm in the market for a titanium flipper with a fairly neutral grip (no crazy ergos) 9.5 inches or larger and with a $800 USD cap. The closest I've found was a Hinderer XM-24 but it was too much handle and not enough blade for my liking.

Oh! Bonus point if the knife isn't crazy-difficult to acquire and is fairly slender (ie: not a pocket hog). Cheers folks!

The Kizer Sheepdog XL is a very large flipper. I think it’s just short of 9.5” overall, but the handle is generous.

Also Kershaw Strata (thin handle though)

Kizer Momo

CIVIVI RS71

Kansept Colibri

I was going to point you toward the Maxace Goliath 2.0 but it looks like they're hard to find for some reason.
I grabbed an M390 Bowie a while ago and it fits my hand well with nearly an 11" span.
Not too big as far as pocketability goes, the bigger the pants the bigger the pockets I think.

A Medford On Belay knife has an overall length of 9.25 inches when open, with a closed length of 5.25 inches and a blade length of 4.125 inches. Just .25" shy ...

A CKF Muscle knife, produced by Custom Knife Factory, typically measures around 9.33 inches in overall length, with a blade length of approximately 3.907 inches. Closer yet ...

Here are my three largest folders compared to Hinderer XM-18 3.5. Top to bottom: Cold Steel Mayhem, CKF Muscle, Medford On Belay and XM-18 3.5.

For a man with BIG HANDS, I'd recommend the Spyderco Farid K2: OAL = 9.99" BL = 4.54"

See: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=899

It's not a flipper but it's a big Ti knife & if you learn the Spydie flick it's as easy to open as a flipper. it's also very thin & easy to carry in your pocket.

There was one just posted on The Exchange but it has already been traded away.

However, there are a couple currently for sale on EB w/in your price range at less than $800.

The K2 is awesome, I have snagged the last two that popped up on the exchange, one for a buddy and one to EDC while my mint one rots away in the safe 😂

Olamic Rainmaker! I feel like that would fit the bill all the way around. I love mine.

Made by Olamic, designed by Biryukov. Slim, long, wirh a sword for a blade. Comes in a million configs, HQ has one with no speed holes and small mammoth inlays for under your budget right now. That flipper tab location is pretty close to the best I've owned. Out of the way, with a ton of leverage.

In addition to the K2, I also own a Rainmaker & a variety of ZT0452s, but while they are both Ti flippers & are long enough in terms of in OAL & BL, they are not BIG in the way that the K2 is.

For overall size in a Ti folder that's practical to use & easy to carry in your pocket, it's the K2 for the win. 🤗

Judge for yourself. Here's what they look like together:

I just bought one yesterday, the Cheburkov Raven. Seller photo:

There are other large Cheburkovs, like the Bear:

There is also the Shiro 111 in its variations, my wife loves hers.

(the Raven comes with Ti liner, the Shiro in full Ti, if you look for it)

I'll post photos of them together for comparison later.

I agree both would probably be great options. I've spent time with the RM but not the K2 just yet. So I can't speak on it directly or recommend atm..

Will be able to in a few days though and I'm super excited.

A grip doesn't get much more neutral than a straight line. Also the RM is remarkably small in my pocket for it gargantuan size. Minimal contours. Large handle, great blade shape. Also easy to aquire. Fantastic warranty and service. These are my reasons for bringimg that one up.

I fully respect that you own and have handled both. So your recommendation comes with more experience.

FYI, I just added a pic of the K2, 0452 & Rainmaker together in Post #12 above.

BTW, for overall size in a "retail, production" folder, the 5" Spyderco Takanta wins hands down but it's not a Ti flipper.

I should have kept it given what people are asking for it now but I sold the 1 that I owned long ago because I just thought it was too big & ridiculous to keep in my collection.

Other than a folding machete, the K2 is the largest folder that I still own & I'm NEVER selling it. ;)

That's a three pack of lookers right there. :)
